Jump Rope Joel Ferrell Award Winners

Jump Rope is pleased to present Matthew Russel and Cinthia Praiswater with the 2013 Joel Ferrell Outstanding Performance Memorial Award. The Joel Ferrell Award is presented each year to an athlete who demonstrates outstanding athletic accomplishments and sportsmanship.  This year’s award was presented by Jim McCleary, the Chairman of AAU Jump Rope.

Cinthia is from North Carolina AAU Distirct and competes with Skipsations.  She is a 12th grader at the Cedar Ridge High School in Chapel Hill, NC.  Cinthia has won All Around Silver in individual competition and All Around Silver in Double Dutch competition.  At 17, she is an outstanding competitor that is recognized for her athletic accomplishments and sportsmanship. 

 

Matthew is from North Carolina AAU District and competes with the Cary YMCA Superskippers.  He attends Cary High School as a 9th grader.  Matthew has previously won multiple All Around Gold medals for Singles, Pairs and Double Dutch at the AAU Junior Olympic Games.  Matthew had the opportunity to Jump Rope on Live with Kelly!
